Pacemaker PH5367 headers (extractors) are designed for selected Holden Commodore VT Series II, VX, VY and VZ models fitted with the 5.7L LS1 or 6.0L LS2 V8.

Featuring Pacemaker's Tri-Y header design, PH5367 uses 41mm primary pipes feeding into 48mm secondary pipes with 63mm flanged outlets. The system is designed to improve exhaust flow, scavenging, torque, throttle response and engine performance.

Pacemaker offers several PH5367 configurations to accommodate differences in the oxygen-sensor wiring between VT Series II-VY Series I, VY Series II, VZ 5.7L and VZ 6.0L vehicles.

NOT suitable for AWD Adventra or Cross 8 models – Pacemaker specifies PH5366 for the AWD application.

Construction

Pacemaker PH5367 uses a Tri-Y configuration with 41mm (1⅝") primary pipes feeding into 48mm (1⅞") secondary pipes with 63mm (2½") flanged outlets.

The standard Pacemaker finish uses the distinctive Pacemaker Blue heat-resistant coating, designed to withstand high exhaust temperatures.

Additional Options

Ceramic Coating: PHC20 ceramic coating may be available for improved heat management and corrosion resistance. Please contact Best Mufflers for current availability.

DSF138: Replacement cylinder-head exhaust gaskets are available separately.

Oxygen Sensor Wiring Extensions: Different PH5367 versions are required for later vehicles because of oxygen-sensor wiring location and length. Confirm the exact vehicle series and engine before ordering.

VT Series II, VX, VU & VY Series I – 5.7L LS1:
Uses the standard PH5367 L/R VT-VY Series I configuration. This version does not include the later oxygen-sensor wiring loom extensions.

VY Series II – 5.7L LS1:
Requires the PH5367 VY Series II configuration with oxygen-sensor wiring loom extensions to suit the later sensor positioning.

VZ – 5.7L LS1:
Requires the dedicated PH5367 VZ 5.7L configuration with the appropriate oxygen-sensor wiring loom extensions.

VZ – 6.0L LS2:

Fitment Notes

VT Application: PH5367 applies to the VT Series II 5.7L LS1. Earlier VT Series I V8 models used the Holden 5.0L engine and are not part of this PH5367 LS application.

VY Series II: Oxygen-sensor wiring extensions are required. Use the correct PH5367 VY Series II configuration.

VZ 5.7L: Use the dedicated PH5367 VZ 5.7L configuration with the appropriate oxygen-sensor extensions.

VZ 6.0L: Use the dedicated PH5367 VZ 6.0L configuration with the appropriate oxygen-sensor extensions.

AWD: PH5367 will not fit AWD Commodore-based applications. Pacemaker specifies PH5366 for Adventra and Cross 8 AWD models.

Why Good Headers & Exhaust Systems Matter

At 4,000 rpm, the 5.7L LS1 V8 theoretically draws approximately 11,400 litres of intake air per minute at 100% volumetric efficiency and expels around 34,200 litres of hot exhaust gas per minute at approximately 600°C.

At the same engine speed, the 6.0L LS2 V8 theoretically draws approximately 12,000 litres of intake air per minute and expels around 36,000 litres of hot exhaust gas per minute at approximately 600°C.

A well-designed header and exhaust system helps manage this high gas flow efficiently, reducing restriction and improving exhaust scavenging, torque, throttle response and engine performance.

Protect the header finish during trial fitting and check clearance around the steering, starter motor, transmission, engine mounts and other components before final tightening.
