Application Tips
For best results, the surface should be completely clean, dry and free from oil, grease, rust, loose paint and contamination before coating.
- Remove loose or damaged existing coating before repainting.
- Sandblasting is recommended where a complete refurbishment is required and generally provides an excellent surface for adhesion.
- Lightly warming the component before application may assist in cool or damp conditions, but the surface should not be excessively hot when the paint is applied.
- Apply light, even coats rather than one heavy coat.
- Allow appropriate drying time between coats.
- The coating will normally cure further through subsequent exhaust heat cycles.
Always follow the application and safety instructions printed on the aerosol can.
