Pacemaker PH4001 headers (extractors) are designed for Ford Falcon AU 1998-2002 models, including XR8 and TE50 applications, fitted with the 5.0L EFI Windsor V8.

PH4001 uses Pacemaker's Tri-Y design with 41mm (1⅝") primary pipes, 48mm (1⅞") secondary pipes and 57mm (2¼") flanged outlets. The Tri-Y configuration is designed to improve exhaust flow and scavenging while providing strong usable torque and throttle response for street-driven Windsor V8 applications.

IMPORTANT – PH4001 is an AU Falcon application and will not fit E-Series Falcon models.

Construction

Pacemaker PH4001 headers use mandrel-bent pipework and a vehicle-specific Tri-Y configuration developed for the Ford Falcon AU 5.0L EFI Windsor V8 application.

The standard headers are supplied in Pacemaker's protective blue finish. Ceramic coating is also available separately for customers wanting additional heat management and corrosion protection.

Why Good Headers & Exhaust Systems Matter

At 4,000 rpm, the 5.0L 302 Windsor V8 theoretically draws approximately 10,000 litres of intake air per minute at 100% volumetric efficiency and expels around 30,000 litres of hot exhaust gas per minute at approximately 600°C.

Actual airflow varies with RPM, engine load, volumetric efficiency, intake restriction, camshaft specification and engine condition. These figures are theoretical values intended to illustrate the substantial volume of gas that must pass through the exhaust system at higher engine speeds.
