Why Our X-Pipes Stand Out

Unlike generic stamped designs, our X-pipes are developed in-house in collaboration with a drag racing driver and built using a long merge crossover design. This geometry promotes exhaust pulse scavenging by allowing pressure waves to transfer across the crossover, helping draw exhaust gases from the opposite bank.

The result is a measurable reduction in static pressure across the merge section, improved exhaust gas velocity, and more efficient cylinder evacuation. This contributes to stronger mid-range torque, smoother power delivery, and improved throttle response without introducing restriction.

X-Pipe vs H-Pipe

  • H-Pipe: Equalises pressure between banks for a deeper exhaust note.
  • X-Pipe: Equalises pressure while increasing exhaust gas velocity and scavenging efficiency, improving torque and overall engine performance.

Installation Tips

  • Ensure pipes are aligned correctly before final welding or clamping
  • For best results, position the X-pipe where exhaust gases remain hot and fast-moving

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Does this create back pressure?
No – this design reduces restriction while improving scavenging. Some customers report lower pressure readings after the X-pipe due to improved flow efficiency.
  • What does “pressure drop after the X-pipe” mean?
A lower pressure reading after the merge indicates improved exhaust flow and pulse scavenging, not a restriction. This is a characteristic of a properly designed X-pipe.
  • Is this better than a standard X-pipe?
Yes – the long merge design avoids the sharp choke points found in stamped X-pipes, maintaining flow area and reducing turbulence.
