Pacemaker PH2540 headers (extractors) are designed to suit Chrysler Valiant VE, VF, VG, VH, VJ, VK, CL and CM models fitted with 340 or 360 Mopar small-block V8 engines using J-Heads and automatic transmissions.

Featuring mandrel-bent pipework and a performance-oriented header design, PH2540 headers help improve exhaust gas flow and scavenging compared with restrictive factory exhaust manifolds. Improved exhaust flow can increase usable torque, sharpen throttle response and improve overall engine breathing and performance, particularly when combined with a suitable exhaust system.

These headers are an excellent choice for classic Chrysler Valiant restorations, Mopar street performance builds and weekend cruisers requiring proven Pacemaker performance and Australian-made construction.

How do I identify J-Heads?

Do these headers fit manual transmission vehicles?
No. Pacemaker PH2540 headers are designed for automatic transmission vehicles only.

Will column-shift automatic vehicles require modification?
Possibly. Vehicles fitted with automatic column-shift linkages may require linkage modification to provide adequate clearance around the headers.

Do PH2540 headers fit all CL Valiants?
No. PH2540 headers will not fit CL models after engine number A221401167. Please check your engine number before ordering if you have a CL Valiant.

Are header gaskets included?
The cylinder-head-to-header gasket set is not included unless specifically selected or stated otherwise. The recommended gasket set is product code DSF148.

Can these headers be ceramic coated?
Yes. Ceramic coating is available separately under product code PHC10.

Will I need to modify my existing exhaust system?
Depending on the exhaust system currently fitted, connection or fabrication work may be required between the PH2540 outlets and the existing exhaust system. Contact us if you need advice on suitable exhaust components.

Can I pick up from the store?
