Wildcat WILD294 exhaust headers (extractors) are designed for selected Suzuki Jimny models fitted with the 1.3L M13A petrol engine using the Type 1 exhaust manifold configuration.

Featuring an interference-style extractor design, WILD294 replaces the restrictive factory exhaust manifold and is designed to improve exhaust gas flow and scavenging. Mandrel-bent pipework helps improve low and mid-range torque, throttle response and overall engine performance, making these headers particularly suitable for street, touring and off-road applications.

Why Good Headers & Exhaust Systems Matter

At 4,000 rpm, the 1.3L M13A engine draws in approximately 2,656 litres of intake air per minute and expels around 8,000 litres of hot exhaust gas per minute at approximately 600°C. A well-designed header and exhaust system helps manage this gas flow efficiently, reducing restriction and improving exhaust scavenging, torque, throttle response and engine performance.

Installation Tips

Apply penetrating lubricant such as WD-40 or similar to the manifold studs, nuts and exhaust fasteners before removal. Trial-fit the header and exhaust connection before fully tightening all fasteners. Protect the painted surfaces during installation to minimise scratching or damage.
