Pacemaker CAT12680 high-flow catalytic converters are designed for the Toyota LandCruiser UZJ100 / UZJ100R fitted with the 4.7L 2UZ-FE petrol V8 from 1998-2007 when installing Pacemaker PH12680 headers.
Supplied as dedicated left- and right-hand catalytic converter assemblies, CAT12680 uses a 100 CPI metallic catalyst substrate with 63mm (2.50") inlet and outlet connections to provide increased exhaust flow and reduced restriction.
The converters feature a directional concave inlet designed to increase the effective catalyst surface area presented to the incoming exhaust gases and assist with distributing exhaust flow across the metallic substrate.
IMPORTANT – CAT12680 is designed specifically for use with Pacemaker PH12680 headers. These converters are not direct replacements for the original factory catalytic converter assemblies.
The kit includes 2 x Pacemaker PSA100 oxygen sensor adaptors. Each PSA100 incorporates a small catalytic element designed to assist with catalyst-efficiency related check-engine light issues that can occur when fitting high-flow catalytic converters.
Note: PSA100 adaptors cannot guarantee that a check-engine light will not occur. Oxygen sensor condition, engine condition, ECU calibration and other factors can affect catalyst-efficiency monitoring.
At 4,000 rpm, the 4.7L 2UZ-FE V8 theoretically draws approximately 9,400 litres of intake air per minute at 100% volumetric efficiency and expels around 28,200 litres of hot exhaust gas per minute at approximately 600°C.
Actual airflow varies with RPM, engine load, volumetric efficiency, intake restriction, camshaft timing and engine condition. These figures are theoretical values intended to illustrate the substantial volume of gas that must pass through the exhaust system at higher engine speeds.
Because the catalytic converters form part of this exhaust path, excessive restriction through the catalyst can limit overall exhaust flow. A high-flow metallic catalytic converter is designed to manage this gas volume efficiently while retaining catalytic converters within the exhaust system.
Catalytic converter failure can be caused by engine misfires, excessive fuel delivery, oil consumption, coolant entering the combustion chamber, ignition problems or other engine faults. These conditions can cause excessive catalyst temperatures or contamination and lead to premature catalytic converter failure.
Any underlying engine, ignition or fuel-system problem should be diagnosed and repaired before new catalytic converters are installed.
Pacemaker catalytic converters are covered against manufacturing defects subject to Pacemaker's current warranty terms and conditions.
Catalytic converters and oxygen sensors form part of the vehicle's emissions-control system. Installation must comply with applicable state or territory requirements covering emissions, roadworthiness, vehicle modifications and exhaust noise.
What vehicle does CAT12680 suit?
CAT12680 is designed for applicable Toyota LandCruiser UZJ100 / UZJ100R 4.7L 2UZ-FE V8 models from 1998-2007 when fitted with Pacemaker PH12680 headers.
Will CAT12680 fit the factory exhaust manifolds?
No. CAT12680 catalytic converters are designed specifically for use with Pacemaker PH12680 headers and are not direct replacement factory catalytic converters.
What size are the inlet and outlet connections?
CAT12680 uses 63mm (2.50") inlet and 63mm (2.50") outlet connections.
What substrate does CAT12680 use?
The converters use a 100 CPI metallic catalyst substrate designed for high exhaust flow and reduced restriction.
What are the PSA100 adaptors?
The kit includes 2 x Pacemaker PSA100 oxygen sensor adaptors. Each incorporates a small catalytic element designed to assist with catalyst-efficiency related check-engine light issues when high-flow catalytic converters are fitted.
Will PSA100 guarantee that the check-engine light stays off?
No. They are designed to assist with catalyst-efficiency related fault codes, but oxygen sensor condition, engine condition, ECU calibration and other factors can affect catalyst monitoring.
What gaskets are required?
4 x FDG024 exhaust flange gaskets are required for the CAT12680 installation.
Are both catalytic converters included?
Yes. The kit includes CAT12680L and CAT12680R together with 2 x PSA100 oxygen sensor adaptors.
Can I pick up from the store?
Yes. Pick up is available but must be pre-arranged before collection.
How much is freight?
Freight varies depending on your delivery location and where stock is available. Please contact us for freight charges before ordering. Where possible, we can arrange dispatch from the nearest available product location to help reduce freight costs and delivery times.
