Featuring Pacemaker's proven Tri-Y interference design, PH5014 headers are designed to improve exhaust scavenging, increase usable low and mid-range torque and provide sharper throttle response compared with the restrictive factory exhaust manifold.

These Australian-made headers are an excellent upgrade for restored cruisers, weekend street cars and modified Red Motor combinations and are compatible with XU-1 style triple carburettor setups.

At approximately 4,000 rpm, a Holden 202 Red Motor draws approximately 3,360 litres of intake air per minute and expels approximately 10,080 litres of exhaust gas per minute at approximately 600°C.

At approximately 4,000 rpm, a Holden 186 Red Motor draws approximately 3,094 litres of intake air per minute and expels approximately 9,282 litres of exhaust gas per minute at approximately 600°C.

At approximately 4,000 rpm, a Holden 173 Red Motor draws approximately 2,878 litres of intake air per minute and expels approximately 8,634 litres of exhaust gas per minute at approximately 600°C.

A well-designed Tri-Y header and correctly sized exhaust system helps move this exhaust volume efficiently, reducing restriction and improving exhaust scavenging, throttle response and usable torque.

Installation Tips

To help prevent scratches during installation, wrap the headers in several layers of cling wrap. Trim the wrap around the flange area, carefully position the headers in the engine bay and install several mounting bolts. Once correctly positioned, remove the remaining wrap before final tightening.

We recommend fitting a new DSF002 gasket when installing the headers. The gasket is available separately.
