Exhaust Heat Wrap HT200-10 / HTFGW0513-10 – 51mm x 10m

HT200-10 / HTFGW0513-10 exhaust heat wrap is designed for wrapping exhaust headers, extractors, dump pipes and other exhaust system components where additional protection from radiant exhaust heat is required.

The wrap measures 51mm wide x 10 metres long and is approximately 3.0mm thick, with a maximum temperature rating of 538°C.

Installation Tips

For easier installation, the heat wrap can be lightly soaked in water before wrapping. This makes the material easier to form around bends and helps maintain tension while wrapping the exhaust pipe.

Start at one end of the exhaust component and overlap each pass consistently. Maintain firm, even tension and secure the finished wrap using stainless steel ties or suitable metal clamps.

Allow the wrapped exhaust system to dry thoroughly. Some smoke or odour may occur during the first heat cycles as residual moisture and manufacturing materials burn off.

Important Fitment & Usage Notes

• Do not exceed the manufacturer's stated maximum temperature of 538°C.
• Heat wrap can increase the operating temperature of the exhaust component underneath the wrap.
• Wrapped exhaust components should be inspected periodically for deterioration or corrosion.
• Heat wrap can retain moisture, particularly on vehicles exposed to rain, water or high humidity.
• Suitability should be checked before wrapping catalytic converters or other emissions-control components.
