Installation Tips

Before removing the original exhaust, apply penetrating lubricant such as WD-40 to the exhaust fasteners. Lubricating the exhaust mounting rubbers will also make removal and installation easier.

Inspect the GMG093 exhaust gasket and GMR007 mounting rubber during installation. Replace deteriorated gaskets and mounting rubbers to help prevent exhaust leaks, excessive movement and premature failure of the new assembly.

After installation, check the rear muffler and pipework for adequate clearance from the body, suspension, fuel tank and surrounding components. Start the vehicle and check the exhaust connections for leaks.
