EXT462 performance headers are engineered for Mazda 3 SP20, SP23 and SP25 LF/L3 engines, replacing the restrictive factory manifold to increase exhaust flow, throttle response and mid-range performance. Australian-made and mandrel-bent, these headers suit 2.0L, 2.3L and 2.5L models with strong, reliable fitment. SP25 models require O2 sensor extensions and a replacement catalytic converter. The EXT462 header system is designed for Mazda 3 LF/L3 engines found in the SP20, SP23 and SP25. These engines respond extremely well to improved exhaust scavenging, and the EXT462 delivers a smoother, faster-flowing system compared to the factory catalytic converter manifold.
Australian-made using mandrel bends, precision welds and a performance-oriented collector, this header set boosts mid-range torque, throttle response and overall engine efficiency.
On average, a Mazda 2.0L LF engine draws ~3,400 L of air per minute and expels ~10,100 L per minute at 4000 rpm [@600 °C].
On average, a Mazda 2.3L L3 engine draws ~3,910 L of air per minute and expels ~11,650 L per minute at 4000 rpm [@600 °C].
On average, a Mazda 2.5L L5 engine draws ~4,250 L of air per minute and expels ~12,650 L per minute at 4000 rpm [@600 °C].
