The Toyota 2.0L 1Y/2Y engine draws in approximately 4,000 litres of air per minute and produces approximately 12,000 litres of exhaust gas per minute at 4,000 rpm.

The Toyota 2.0L 3Y/4Y engine draws in approximately 4,400 litres of air per minute and produces approximately 13,200 litres of exhaust gas per minute at 4,000 rpm.

These figures are based on approximately 85% volumetric efficiency, with exhaust volume calculated at operating temperatures of around 600°C. The WILD163 interference design complements these airflow characteristics by reducing backpressure and improving exhaust scavenging for smoother torque delivery and enhanced throttle response. As exhaust gases expand significantly at operating temperature, these headers are designed to efficiently manage increased exhaust volume while maintaining excellent street performance.
