HSV GEN-F GEN-F2 GTS GTSR 2013-2017 6.2L Supercharged LSA Pacemaker Headers PH5385

Pacemaker PH5385 Competition headers (extractors) are designed for selected HSV GEN-F and GEN-F2 models from 2013-2017 fitted with the 6.2L supercharged LSA V8.

Developed specifically for the high exhaust-flow requirements of HSV's supercharged LSA engine, PH5385 uses Pacemaker's tuned 4-into-1 competition header design with large 51mm (2") primary pipes and 89mm (3½") collector outlets.

PH5385 is designed to improve exhaust flow, torque, throttle response and engine performance and is particularly suited to high-performance street and modified LSA applications.

IMPORTANT – PH5385 requires aftermarket catalytic converters. Pacemaker CAT5385-100L/R high-flow catalytic converters are available separately.

Two PEX5385 oxygen sensor wiring loom extensions are required.

Does NOT suit the HSV GTSR W1 fitted with the supercharged LS9 engine.

Please check availability and current lead time before ordering.

  • Suits 6.2L supercharged LSA Generation IV V8
  • Tuned header design
  • 4-into-1 competition configuration
  • 51mm (2") primary pipes
  • 89mm (3½") collector outlets
  • Manual and automatic transmission compatible
  • Power steering compatible

Construction

Pacemaker PH5385 uses a tuned 4-into-1 competition configuration with large 51mm (2") primary pipes feeding into 89mm (3½") collector outlets.

The large primary and collector dimensions provide the exhaust-flow capacity required by the high-output 6.2L supercharged LSA V8.

The standard Pacemaker finish uses the distinctive Pacemaker Blue heat-resistant coating, designed to withstand temperatures up to approximately 800°C.

Additional Options

Ceramic Coating: Ceramic coating may be available for improved heat management and corrosion resistance. Please contact Best Mufflers for the current PH5385 ceramic-coating option and availability.

DSF138: Replacement cylinder-head exhaust gaskets are available separately.

PEX5385: Two oxygen sensor wiring loom extensions are required for the PH5385 installation.

CAT5385-100L/R: Pacemaker high-flow catalytic converters are available separately to suit PH5385.

Vehicle Fitment

  • Make: HSV
  • Series: GEN-F / GEN-F2
  • Year Range: 2013-2017
  • Engine: LSA Generation IV V8
  • Capacity: 6.2L / 6162cc
  • Aspiration: Supercharged
  • Transmission: Manual / Automatic
  • Drive: Rear-Wheel Drive

PH5385 is specifically designed around the supercharged LSA engine. Do not confuse the LSA with the naturally aspirated 6.2L LS3.

HSV Applications

GEN-F GTS: The HSV GEN-F GTS introduced the 6.2L supercharged LSA V8 in 2013.

GEN-F2: PH5385 also covers applicable GEN-F2 models fitted with the LSA engine, including later high-performance HSV variants.

GTSR: The 2017 HSV GTSR uses the 6.2L supercharged LSA V8 and is included in Pacemaker's PH5385 LSA application.

GTSR Maloo: The GTSR Maloo also uses the 6.2L supercharged LSA V8.

GTSR W1: The GTSR W1 is different. It uses the 6.2L supercharged LS9 V8 rather than the LSA and should not be assumed to suit PH5385.

Header Specifications

  • Secondary Pipe: N/A
  • Outlet: 89mm (3½")
  • Power Steering: Yes
  • Air Conditioning: Yes
  • Oxygen Sensor Provision: Yes
  • EGR: N/A
  • Replacement Gasket: DSF138

Fitment Notes

LSA Engine Only: PH5385 is specifically designed for applicable HSV GEN-F and GEN-F2 vehicles fitted with the 6.2L supercharged LSA V8.

Aftermarket Catalytic Converters: Pacemaker specifies that aftermarket catalytic converters must be fitted with PH5385.

Pacemaker Catalytic Converters: Pacemaker lists CAT5385-100L/R high-flow catalytic converters for this header application.

Oxygen Sensor Extensions: The installation requires two PEX5385 oxygen sensor wiring loom extensions.

GTSR W1: Do not order PH5385 for a GTSR W1 based solely on the vehicle being a GEN-F2 HSV. The W1 uses the LS9 engine, not the LSA.

Because many HSV LSA vehicles have been modified, check the existing headers, catalytic converters, exhaust diameter, engine modifications and tuning before installation.

What's Included

  • Pacemaker PH5385L left-side header assembly
  • Pacemaker PH5385R right-side header assembly

Oxygen sensor extensions, catalytic converters, cylinder-head gaskets, bolts and other installation components should not be assumed to be included unless specifically confirmed with the current PH5385 kit before ordering.

Recommended With

DSF138 – replacement cylinder-head exhaust gaskets.

PEX5385 x 2 – oxygen sensor wiring loom extensions required for installation.

CAT5385-100L/R – Pacemaker high-flow catalytic converters designed to suit PH5385.

A matching performance exhaust system should be selected to suit the vehicle, power level and intended use.

Why Good Headers & Exhaust Systems Matter

At 4,000 rpm, the 6.2L LSA V8 theoretically displaces approximately 12,400 litres of air per minute at 100% volumetric efficiency before considering the additional airflow supplied by the supercharger.

Because the LSA is supercharged, actual intake airflow under boost can be substantially greater than the naturally aspirated theoretical displacement calculation. Exhaust gas flow likewise varies considerably with boost pressure, engine speed, load, tuning and power output.

A well-designed high-capacity header and exhaust system helps manage this increased gas flow efficiently, reducing restriction and improving exhaust scavenging, torque, throttle response and engine performance.

Installation Tips

Before installation, confirm that the vehicle is fitted with the 6.2L supercharged LSA rather than an LS3 or LS9 engine.

Plan the complete header, catalytic converter and exhaust configuration before installation because aftermarket catalytic converters are required.

Protect the header finish during trial fitting and ensure both PEX5385 oxygen sensor extension looms are routed safely away from the headers and other high-temperature components.

Professional installation is recommended.

Warranty & Compliance

Pacemaker headers are covered against manufacturing defects subject to Pacemaker's current warranty terms and conditions.

All catalytic converters, oxygen sensors and other emissions-control equipment required for the vehicle must remain correctly installed and operational.

Installation must comply with applicable Australian state or territory requirements relating to emissions, exhaust noise and vehicle modifications.

FAQ
