Pacemaker PH2500 exhaust headers (extractors) are a performance upgrade designed for Chrysler Valiant AP5, AP6, VC, VE and VF models fitted with the Slant Six engine.

Tuned-length design with 38mm primary pipes, 51mm secondary pipes and 57mm outlets, PH2500 headers are designed to improve exhaust gas flow  for better torque, throttle response and engine performance.

Why Good Headers and Exhaust Systems Matter

• The Valiant 225ci Slant 6 engine (approximately 3.7L) draws in, on average, 7,400 litres of air per minute and expels around 22,200 litres per minute at 4,000 rpm, at approximately 600°C.

Installation Tips

• Apply penetrating lubricant to manifold fasteners and exhaust connections before removal
• Remove all traces of the old manifold gasket and inspect the cylinder-head sealing surface
• Fit a new DSF005 exhaust manifold/header gasket
• Trial-fit the header and check all clearances before fully tightening the mounting hardware
• Protect the Pacemaker Blue or optional ceramic-coated surfaces during trial fitting and installation
• Check clearance around the steering, starter motor, engine mounts, transmission, wiring, brake components and surrounding parts
• Check the condition of engine and transmission mounts, as worn mounts can alter drivetrain position and header clearance
• Check all exhaust connections for leaks after installation
• Inspect and re-tighten the header mounting hardware after the initial heat cycles
