This is my own car so i had the opportunity
to try and dyno test different exhaust parts thanks to
Indy form IS Motor Racing at Rockdale.
I have no intention of upgrading the ECU so turbo back
exhaust was not an option
The factory exhaust from
the cat back was removed, jigs were so i could remake
the centre section in 3" and the rear mufflers in
2 1/2". I used Magnaflow mufflers for our testing
because i didn't want to much noise just a tone increase.
By making jigs i could interchange parts easily for dyno
testing. In the mean time i had the wife telling she wanted
the car back to standard after testing.

First Dyno was done with the complete
factory exhaust fitted. i sent the wife to do the dyno
testing, i was busy doing other things plus its her car
and i hoped she would like the sound and keep the exhaust
on after testing. again i was not after a loud exhaust
just a tone increase.

Second dyno was done with the Custom Magnaflow
rear mufflers.

Now i the big test to see if two days
of hard work in making the centre section all in polished
304 stainless steel, all tig welded was worth it.

Dyno was check with the same result. and
after trying the differant centre sections on the road
it was very noicable differance not only the power but
also the drivability. The factory centre section of the
exhaust is now refitted with the Magnaflow mufflers on
the rear and that's how it is staying, [ the wife loves
the sound] Don't waste your money changing from the cat
back, either a tbs with ecu upgrade or rear mufflers only.
