Wildcat WILD130 headers use a Tri-Y configuration with 38mm primary pipes feeding into 51mm secondary pipes and a 57mm outlet.
The WILD130 is specifically configured to route outside the chassis, distinguishing it from the WILD002 inside-chassis 2H header application.
Wildcat headers are manufactured in Australia by the same Australian manufacturer responsible for Genie headers.
Please contact Best Mufflers for current availability and advice regarding compatible exhaust components for your particular Toyota LandCruiser application.
Additional Wildcat Catalogue Applications: The manufacturer's application catalogue also lists WILD130 for selected HJ45, HJ60 and HJ75 4.0L 2H applications. Because LandCruiser chassis and production dates vary, please confirm your chassis code and exhaust configuration before ordering for these applications.
WILD130 is the outside-chassis 2H header configuration. Confirm that outside-chassis routing is suitable for your vehicle before ordering.
Older LandCruisers are frequently modified, so check the vehicle's chassis, engine, exhaust routing, suspension and accessories before installation.
Wildcat WILD130 header assembly. Gaskets, mounting components and other exhaust parts should not be assumed to be included unless specifically shown or stated with the product.
RBG002S – exhaust manifold/header gasket specified in the Wildcat application catalogue for WILD130.
The 4.0L 2H six-cylinder diesel theoretically draws approximately 8,000 litres of intake air per minute at 4,000 rpm at 100% volumetric efficiency. Once combustion has taken place, the hot exhaust gases occupy substantially more volume as they travel through the exhaust system.
Using an illustrative exhaust temperature of approximately 600°C, this represents around 24,000 litres of exhaust gas per minute. A well-designed header and exhaust system helps manage this high gas flow efficiently, reducing restriction and improving exhaust scavenging, torque, throttle response and engine performance.
Professional installation is recommended. Particular attention should be given to the outside-chassis routing, exhaust alignment and clearance around the chassis, suspension, steering and other vehicle components.
Lubricate threaded fasteners with WD-40 or a similar penetrating lubricant before removal to assist with easier removal and installation. After installation and several heat cycles, inspect the system for exhaust leaks and recheck accessible fasteners where appropriate.
Installation must maintain adequate clearance from chassis, suspension, steering, fuel and brake components. Any vehicle modifications should comply with applicable Australian state or territory requirements.
