Hurricane HU428STM exhaust headers (extractors) are Australian-made performance headers designed for selected Suzuki Vitara SE416 models fitted with the 1.6L G16B SOHC 16-valve petrol engine.

The Australian-market G16B is a 1590cc multi-point fuel-injected four-cylinder engine. It was used in 4-door Vitara models from the early 1990s and became available in Australian 2-door models from 1994.

HU428STM uses 38mm primary pipes, 45mm secondary pipes and a 51mm flanged outlet. The header design is intended to reduce exhaust restriction and improve scavenging compared with the original exhaust manifold, helping improve exhaust flow, torque, throttle response and engine performance.

At 4,000 rpm, the 1.6L G16B four-cylinder theoretically draws approximately 3,200 litres of intake air per minute at 100% volumetric efficiency and may expel around 9,600 litres of hot exhaust gas per minute at approximately 600°C.
