WILD005 will not fit the coil-spring Suzuki Sierra SJ80. The Wildcat application for the coil-spring model is WILD712.

Welding is required to connect WILD005 to the vehicle's exhaust system. Professional installation is recommended.

Because these vehicles are now several decades old and are commonly modified for off-road use, confirm the engine, suspension configuration, exhaust routing and available clearances before ordering.

What's Included

Wildcat WILD005 header assembly. Gaskets, fasteners and other installation components should not be assumed to be included unless specifically shown or stated with the product.

Recommended With

RBG005S – exhaust manifold/header gasket specified for the WILD005 application.

Why Good Headers & Exhaust Systems Matter

The 1.3L G13A/G13BA four-cylinder engine theoretically draws approximately 2,600 litres of intake air per minute at 4,000 rpm at 100% volumetric efficiency. Once combustion has taken place, the hot exhaust gases occupy substantially more volume as they travel through the exhaust system.

Using an illustrative exhaust temperature of approximately 600°C, this represents around 7,800 litres of exhaust gas per minute. A well-designed header and exhaust system helps manage this high gas flow efficiently, reducing restriction and improving exhaust scavenging, torque, throttle response and engine performance.

Installation Tips

Professional installation is recommended because welding is required to connect the headers to the exhaust system. Trial-fit the headers and check clearance around the chassis, steering, suspension and drivetrain before completing the exhaust connection.

Lubricate threaded fasteners with WD-40 or a similar penetrating lubricant before removal to assist with easier removal and installation. After installation and several heat cycles, inspect the system for exhaust leaks and recheck accessible fasteners where appropriate.

Warranty & Compliance

Installation should comply with applicable Australian state or territory requirements relating to exhaust noise and vehicle modifications.
