Wildcat WILD714 exhaust headers (extractors) are designed for selected Suzuki Grand Vitara models from 1998 to 2005 fitted with the 2.5L V6 H25A petrol engine.

Manufactured in Australia, WILD714 features an interference header design for street performance applications. The combination of 1.58" primary pipes, 2.00" secondary pipes and 2.25" flanged outlets is designed to improve exhaust gas flow, torque, throttle response and usable engine performance.

WILD714 is suitable for both right-hand-drive and left-hand-drive models. This makes the headers suitable for selected overseas-market Grand Vitara applications as well as Australian vehicles.

Construction

Wildcat WILD714 headers use formed steel pipework and an interference design developed to provide an efficient path for exhaust gases leaving the H25A V6. The primary and secondary pipe configuration is designed to improve exhaust gas flow and cylinder scavenging across the engine's normal street operating range.

2.7L H27A Applications

WILD714 can also be adapted to selected Suzuki 2.7L V6 H27A applications. This is a modified installation and should not be considered a standard direct-fit H27A application.

• Catalytic converter and exhaust modifications are required.
• The original catalytic converter arrangement cannot be retained in its standard configuration.
• Exhaust fabrication may be required to complete the installation.
• Changes to catalytic converters and oxygen-sensor operation may cause a check-engine light.
• ECU calibration may be required after modification.

Installation Tips

• Lubricate manifold studs, nuts and exhaust fasteners with WD-40 or a similar penetrating lubricant before removal.
• Inspect the original manifold gaskets and replace them if damaged or deteriorated.
• Clean the cylinder-head sealing surfaces before installing the headers.
• Check exhaust, oxygen-sensor and catalytic converter positioning before completing the installation.
• Check clearance around the steering, transmission, starter motor, suspension and bodywork before final tightening.
• Re-tighten the header/manifold bolts after approximately 500km to help maintain a reliable gasket seal.
