Installation Tips

• Lubricate manifold studs, nuts and exhaust fasteners with WD-40 or a similar penetrating lubricant before removal.
• Remove all traces of the old manifold gasket before installing the headers.

• Fit a suitable new gasket and use high-temperature exhaust sealant where recommended.
• Check header position and exhaust alignment before completing the welded connection.
• Check clearance around the steering, transmission, starter motor, suspension and bodywork before final tightening.
• Re-tighten the header/manifold bolts after approximately 500km to help maintain a reliable gasket seal.
