Pacemaker PH12660 Headers (extractors) are Australian-made tuned-length performance headers designed for Toyota LandCruiser Prado VZJ95 models fitted with the 3.4L V6 5VZ-FE petrol engine from 1996 to 2003. Featuring 38mm mandrel-bent primary pipes and a 57mm flanged outlet, these headers improve exhaust flow and scavenging for stronger torque, improved throttle response and more efficient exhaust gas evacuation.
The PH12660 kit includes left and right header assemblies plus the PHB12600 base pipe, providing a complete engineered connection from the headers into the exhaust system.
Pacemaker PH12660 Headers (extractors) are designed for Toyota LandCruiser Prado VZJ95 models fitted with the 3.4L V6 5VZ-FE petrol engine from 1996 to 2003.
Featuring a tuned-length design with 38mm mandrel-bent primary pipes and a 57mm flanged outlet, the PH12660 is designed to improve exhaust gas velocity and scavenging compared with the restrictive factory exhaust manifolds. This can improve usable torque, throttle response and overall engine breathing across the normal driving range.
The complete assembly includes separate left and right headers together with the PHB12600 base pipe, providing a purpose-designed connection between both cylinder banks and the vehicle's exhaust system.
At 3,000 rpm, the 3.4L 5VZ-FE engine moves approximately 4,300 litres of intake air per minute and expels around 12,900 litres of exhaust gas per minute when exhaust gas volume is considered at approximately 600°C.
At 5,000 rpm, this increases to approximately 7,200 litres of intake air per minute and around 21,500 litres of hot exhaust gas per minute.
A correctly designed tuned-length header and free-flowing exhaust system helps manage this increasing gas volume by improving exhaust scavenging and reducing unnecessary restriction. This is particularly beneficial for a 4WD such as the Prado where strong usable torque and throttle response are important.
