Why Good Headers & Exhaust Systems Matter

The Holden 202 Red Motor draws approximately 5,400 litres of intake air per minute and expels approximately 16,200 litres of exhaust gas (at approximately 600°C) at 4,000 rpm.

At 5,000 rpm, airflow increases to approximately 6,750 litres of intake air and approximately 20,250 litres of exhaust gas per minute.

Replacing the restrictive factory exhaust manifold with properly tuned Pacemaker headers helps the engine evacuate this exhaust volume more efficiently, improving cylinder scavenging, throttle response, torque and overall engine performance.
