Notes

  • Some models or conversions may require the collector outlet pipe to be removed and flanged.
  • Ensure clearance around the engine mounting bracket during installation.
  • Made to order – please allow 5–7 days for fabrication.

Fitment Advisory: Datsun A-series engines (A10, A12, A14, A15) have left-side engine mount bracket variations that can affect header clearance and fitment.

  • Early models (pre-1974 – e.g. 1200, B110) feature the original engine mount boss position on the block.
  • Later models (1974-on – e.g. 120Y, B210, Sunny, A14/A15 engines) have the left-hand engine mount bosses relocated approximately 35 mm rearward.
  • This change may cause collector or primary pipe interference with the mount or crossmember on some vehicles.
  • If fitting to an early chassis with a later block (or vice versa), minor modification to the bracket or header flange position may be required.
  • Always check clearance around the engine mount bracket and steering assembly before final welding or clamping.

Best Mufflers recommends confirming your engine block and mount configuration before purchase to ensure correct fitment.
