Wildcat WILD251 exhaust headers (extractors) are designed for selected Nissan Silvia S13 models fitted with the 2.0L SR20DE naturally aspirated petrol engine from 1991 to 1996.

Featuring an interference-style extractor design, WILD251 replaces the restrictive factory exhaust manifold with larger, smoother-flowing pipework. The design helps improve exhaust gas flow and scavenging to reduce restriction and improve low and mid-range torque, throttle response and overall engine performance for street applications.

Why Good Headers & Exhaust Systems Matter

At 4,000 rpm, the 2.0L SR20DE engine draws in approximately 4,000 litres of intake air per minute and expels around 12,000 litres of hot exhaust gas per minute at approximately 600°C. A well-designed header and exhaust system helps manage this high gas flow efficiently, reducing restriction and improving exhaust scavenging, torque, throttle response and engine performance.

Installation Tips

Apply penetrating lubricant such as WD-40 or similar to the manifold studs, nuts and exhaust fasteners before removal. Inspect the existing manifold gasket, catalytic converter connection and mounting hardware before installation. Trial-fit the header and exhaust connection before fully tightening the system, and protect the painted surfaces during installation to minimise scratching or damage.
