Wildcat WILD108 headers (extractors) are designed for the Nissan Pulsar N14 fitted with the 1.6L GA16DE DOHC 16-valve petrol engine, with the Australian application covering approximately October 1991 to September 1995.
Featuring an interference header design, WILD108 is intended for street applications where improved exhaust flow and useful low-to-mid-range torque are important.
The header uses approximately 38mm primary pipes, 44mm secondary pipes and a 57mm outlet and is Australian made.
Please check availability and current lead time before ordering.
Wildcat WILD108 headers are Australian Made and designed specifically around the Nissan GA16DE exhaust-port and engine-bay configuration.
The interference design combines the individual exhaust runners before the final outlet to help provide useful street performance and improved exhaust flow through the operating range.
A replacement header/manifold gasket is available separately – see RBG108.
Please contact Best Mufflers if you require advice on gaskets, exhaust components or installation parts to complete the installation.
IMPORTANT: Confirm the vehicle is fitted with the 1.6L GA16DE engine before ordering.
Australian Pulsar: WILD108 is currently listed for the Nissan Pulsar N14 1.6L GA16DE. Australian application data places the GA16DE N14 at approximately October 1991 to September 1995.
NX Application: The GA16DE was fitted to NX/100NX models in some overseas markets. However, Australian-market Nissan NX and NX-R coupes were sold with the 2.0L SR20DE. For this reason, this Australian product listing is focused on the Pulsar N14 application rather than advertising WILD108 as an Australian NX header.
Because these vehicles are now older, engines and exhaust systems may have been replaced or modified. Confirm the engine code and existing exhaust configuration before ordering.
Gaskets, bolts and other installation hardware should not be assumed to be included unless confirmed with the current product before ordering.
RBG108 – replacement header/manifold gasket.
Before installation, inspect the existing exhaust system, engine mounts, manifold studs, gaskets and associated hardware.
At 4,000 rpm, the 1.6L GA16DE four-cylinder engine theoretically draws approximately 3,200 litres of intake air per minute at 100% volumetric efficiency.
Using an illustrative hot exhaust volume at approximately 600°C, this represents around 9,600 litres of exhaust gas per minute.
A well-designed header and exhaust system helps manage this high gas flow efficiently, reducing restriction and improving exhaust scavenging, torque, throttle response and engine performance.
Before installation, confirm that the vehicle is fitted with the 1.6L GA16DE DOHC 16-valve engine.
Professional installation is recommended. Check the condition of the existing exhaust system, manifold studs and associated mounting hardware before fitting the headers.
Lubricate threaded fasteners with WD-40 or a similar penetrating lubricant before removal to assist with easier removal and installation.
After installation and several heat cycles, inspect the exhaust system for leaks and recheck accessible fasteners where appropriate.
Any required catalytic converter, oxygen sensor and other emissions-control equipment must remain correctly installed and operational.
Installation must comply with applicable Australian state or territory requirements relating to emissions, exhaust noise and vehicle modifications.
