Wildcat WILD250 exhaust headers (extractors) are designed for selected Mitsubishi Lancer CG and CH models fitted with the 2.0L 4G94 petrol engine from 2002 to 2007.

Featuring an interference-style extractor design, WILD250 replaces the restrictive factory exhaust manifold with larger, smoother-flowing pipework. The design helps improve exhaust gas flow and scavenging to reduce restriction and improve torque, throttle response and overall engine performance for street applications.

Welding is required to connect WILD250 to the vehicle's exhaust system. Professional exhaust installation is recommended.

Why Good Headers & Exhaust Systems Matter

At 4,000 rpm, the 2.0L 4G94 engine draws in approximately 4,000 litres of intake air per minute and expels around 12,000 litres of hot exhaust gas per minute at approximately 600°C. A well-designed header and exhaust system helps manage this high gas flow efficiently, reducing restriction and improving exhaust scavenging, torque, throttle response and engine performance.

Installation Tips

Apply penetrating lubricant such as WD-40 or similar to the manifold studs, nuts and exhaust fasteners before removal. Trial-fit the header and exhaust system before welding. Once alignment and clearance have been confirmed, complete the exhaust connection and fully tighten the manifold hardware. Protect the painted header surfaces during installation to minimise scratching or damage.
