Installation Tips

• Lubricate manifold studs, nuts and exhaust fasteners with WD-40 or a similar penetrating lubricant before removal.
• Remove all traces of the old manifold gasket before installing the headers.
• Inspect the cylinder-head sealing surface, studs and threads before installation.
• Fit a new RBG084SS gasket and use high-temperature exhaust sealant where recommended.
• Check header and exhaust alignment before fully tightening all fasteners.
• Check clearance around the steering, transmission, starter motor, suspension and bodywork.
• Re-tighten the header/manifold bolts after approximately 500km to help maintain a reliable gasket seal.
