The EXT462 exhaust headers are designed for Mazda 3 SP20, SP23 and SP25 models fitted with LF (2.0L), L3 (2.3L) and L5 (2.5L) engines. Replacing the restrictive factory manifold, these headers improve exhaust flow, throttle response and mid-range performance.

Australian-made using mandrel-bent tubing for smooth flow and reliable fitment, the EXT462 is a proven upgrade for both daily driving and performance applications. SP25 models require O2 sensor extensions and a replacement catalytic converter.

EXT462 Exhaust Headers – Mazda 3 SP20–SP25 2.0L–2.5L (2004–2014)

The EXT462 exhaust header system is designed for Mazda 3 models fitted with the LF (2.0L), L3 (2.3L) and L5 (2.5L) MZR engines found in the SP20, SP23 and SP25 variants.

These engines respond extremely well to improved exhaust flow and scavenging. The EXT462 replaces the restrictive factory catalytic converter manifold with a smoother, high-flow design, improving mid-range torque, throttle response, and overall engine efficiency.

As exhaust gases expand significantly at operating temperature (~600°C), total exhaust volume is approximately 3× greater than intake airflow. The EXT462 header design is sized to efficiently manage this increased volume, reducing backpressure and improving engine performance.
